Currie’s Farm Market CSA Program

We knew from the beginning that we wanted to offer a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program, but we also knew that it had to work with our store and our potential members. After talking over the pros and cons of existing programs with several of our regular customers, we decided to think outside the box and create a program that we could all sink our teeth into.

Our program had to be flexible, for members who didn’t want to be tied down to a weekly pick-up schedule during the busy summer months. We also wanted to give members the chance to support the other local farms we represent at our market, in addition to the produce we grow on our own farm. So rather than a weekly box program, we introduced the Currie’s Farm Market CSA Member Share Card Account.

Here’s how it works.

Before we open the doors each season, we offer a limited number of CSA Member Share Card Accounts. These accounts can only be purchased prior to reopening, and can be used right away when we open for the 2023 season on May 19th at 9:00 a.m. Your account can be used anytime throughout the 2023 season, on anything your want to purchase from Currie’s Farm Market.

To purchase your CSA Member Share Card Account:

1. Purchase your CSA Member Share Card Account from our online store BEFORE MIDNIGHT on May 14th, 2023. You can purchase more than one Share Card, or a combination of cards, depending on your families needs. Share Cards will be available starting April 10th, 2023.

2. We will activate your Share Card Account in our Point of Sale system prior to opening day, with the account number you specify when you purchase your Share Card Account. When you come into Currie’s Farm Market to shop, simply bring your purchases to the front cash and use your account number to access your Share Card Account. Each purchase will be deducted from your balance and you will receive your remaining balance each and every time you shop. Share Card Accounts can be used on any item in the store, all season long. NOTE: Share Card Accounts must be used in full before we close at 6 p.m. on December 23rd.

$500 Medium Share:
10% Return on Investment

You pay $450, but we provide you with a Share Card Account pre-loaded with $500 to spend at Currie’s Farm Market on anything you want, anytime you want.

$1000 Large Share:
15% Return on Investment

You pay $850, but we provide you with a Share Card Account pre-loaded with $1000 to spend at Currie’s Farm Market on anything you want, anytime you want.

Keep Things Simple

To keep things simple, we set you up with a Share Card Account prior to our opening day, with your account balance stored safely on the Point of Sale system at Currie’s Farm Market. All you have to do is pick your local favourites and simply provide the account number you have chosen to access your account, each time you check out. After each purchase you will receive your remaining account balance. There are absolutely no restrictions on what and when you can purchase throughout the season*, as every single one of your purchases supports local food and a local farm.

*Share Cards must be used by 6:00 p.m. on December 23rd, 2023.
